INA is present on four production and one exploration concession in Egypt as a non-operator with several partners . There are three production concessions in the Western Desert, namely North Bahariya, Ras Qattara and West Abu Gharadig and one production concession East Damanhur in Nile Delta.
East Bir El Nus is exploration concession in the Western Desert. Concession Agreement was signed in February 2023.
On North Bahariya concession, total of 22 wells was drilled in 2023 while drilling activities in 2024 will start in July. On Ras Qattara concession activities were focused on production maintenance. One development well was drilled in 2023 while in 2024 one additional development was also drilled as work program commitment. On West Abu Gharadig activities in 2023 as well as 2024 were related to the production maintenance.
Exploration license on East Damanhur concession expired in August 2023. Successful drilling and testing operations of ED-2X ST1 well in Q4 2022 / Q1 2023 resulted in gas discovery and East Damanhur Development Lease was approved by Egyptian Authority in September 2023. Gas and condensate production started in September 2023 and as first production it will be monitored in 2024.
3D Seismic acquisition of 250 km2and 180 km of 2D has also started on East Bir El Nus Concession (EBEN) in Egypt where INA holds non-operated position with 50% working interest, while the remaining 50% is held by Energean.
