MOL expands North-Sea portfolio following successful bidding in UK 28th Seaward Licensing Round
MOL Plc is pleased to announce that it has been offered four licences, all as operator, on the UK Continental Shelf as part of the UK’s 28th licensing round.
All offered licences have Drill or Drop well obligations and are located in the Central UK North Sea. The company has focused on its strategic play knowledge and capabilities and will be seeking to further define and de-risk these latest licence additions to its current UK portfolio of assets through quantified and technology driven exploration.
We are extremely pleased to have secured a number of highly prospective licences in the UK Continental Shelf as operator. We look forward to working with our industry partners in order to technically mature these licences and progress to the exploratory drilling phase.
The process shall be concluded with the formal acceptance of offered licences by MOL Group and its Partner, following further reconciliation with UK Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC).
