MOL Group initiates civil proceedings against several companies participating in ethylene cartel

MOL Plc. (“MOL”) hereby notifies market participants of the following: 

The European Commission's decision in the ethylene cartel case (AT.40410) condemned several ethylene buyers for their anti-competitive behaviour. Based on a detailed analysis by the MOL Group, the cartel significantly affected the MOL Group's ethylene and polyethylene sales prices, causing considerable financial damage to the MOL Group. In order to recover the damages, the MOL Group has initiated civil proceedings against several companies participating in the cartel.
