Responsible Procurement
As set out in MOL Group’s Shape Tomorrow strategy, our ambition is to be a key player in the low-carbon circular economy in Central and Eastern Europe. Responsible Procurement is a core enabler of this ambition.
At MOL Group, Responsible Procurement means integrating sustainability considerations into all sourcing decisions. Beyond ensuring business continuity, our goal is to actively reduce environmental and social risks in our supply chain, while creating long-term value for our people, partners and the communities we operate in.
Through Responsible Procurement, we aim to make our supply chain a driver of the energy transition by promoting energy efficient and low carbon solutions, encouraging innovation and supporting responsible business practices across all tiers of the supply chain. Sustainability is considered throughout our procurement activities – from supplier selection to contract management – in line with our strategic objectives. We are committed to continuously improving the measurement and management of Scope 3 emissions and to working closely with our suppliers to achieve a 30% reduction in emissions from our inbound supply chain by 2030, while supporting MOL Group’s ambition to become a net zero CO₂ emitter by 2050 across all scopes.
Achieving these goals is only possible through close collaboration with our suppliers. We foster long term, trust based partnerships and ensure that our procurement practices are fair, ethical and responsibly managed. We rely on our partners’ expertise, experience and innovative solutions, and we expect our suppliers to operate ethically and sustainably, comply with applicable regulatory standards and demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
